Regenta Place is the best hotel in Amritsar from all the aspects.They offer you best rates with excellent hospitality. Sahil Sharma is their sales manager who provided us with best deal and suggested us places to explore .I would personally recommend this hotel and 5 star to their staff specially Mr. Sahil Sharma to make our stay comfortable and memorable in Amritsar.

This hotel is okay if you are alone. I mean that good time can not be spent here by going with someone. It's okay for a single person. There are very dirt in the romms. Although the rooms are good, cleanliness is not taken care of. other services are excellent. Prices are very cheap.

Near to bus stand, walkable if you are solo and backpacked. Else take a cycle rickshaw to reach in 5-10 mins. Average place, works okay for a single traveller. Had taken a room at the ground floor. They have just the basics, don't expect much. Window mounted AC not Split A/C in the room I stayed. Friendly staff and were lenient with timings. No restaurants of their own.

Pathetic Hotel (Deciding to Stay was a blunder)

We saw many negative reviews about the hotel but still decided to stay because the online available photos were suggesting that the hotel was good (We were very unfortunate). Sadly enough when we entered the rooms, (Two AC Deluxe rooms) we found them in extreme unhygienic condition. The bed sheets were dusty with hairs of customers who had previously stayed in the rooms. The fun part was no staff was bothered to clean the rooms and it was us who had to make the rooms clean for us, human beings, to stay. The roof of one of the room was about to fall off. The staff was very arrogant. These people are not trained. It didn't work out for me and my family. If you are staying at this hotel, it will be better not to keep any expectations as is promised by the hospitality industry. It is even more uncomfortable as there is nothing (restaurants; shops or anything) in the vicinity of the hotel. And of course there is nothing "royal" in the Royal Palace We had booked the hotel via goibibo.com which i feel i will never do again. I cannot believe that goibibo could offer rating to this place. The online hotel advisers should make sure they verify the hotels before suggesting it to customers and confusing them. Had we not pre-paid for the hotel, we would have shifted to some other place. Thanks goibibo and The Royal Palace for ruining our stay at amritsar...
